Watched a Netflix today called Attack on Darfur. The thing that struck me so hard was that for all the brutality and genocide that is and has been occurring in that land, we so rarely hear anything about it it here in our news feeds.
I will admit that I am not a “media news” watcher, have for many years been of the opinion that the news media is aligned with the politicians in government and are not to be trusted to be at all “objective” with their coverages. Investigative journalists are more interested in which Hollywood starlet has let her “panties show” than dig down and find out what is really going on in our country. In recent years the feelings have only been redressed by the likes of Rachel “the mad cow” and Piers “they threw me out” Morgan, but I digress from my theme here.
When we were actively engaged in Iraq there were almost daily reports of the “lives lost” both military and civilian on the battlegrounds, and nowhere was there even the peep of the thousands being slaughtered with less dignity than even cattle in the deserts of Africa. This genocide has been going on since the late 1980’s, and yet I cannot remember seeing more than a few mentions of it in main stream media reports.
The hypocrisy is palpable folks!!! So I say –WHERE IS THE OUTCRY??? THE RAGE ABOUT DEPRAVITY AND HUMAN SUFFERING??? We hear all about it if some hood gets roughed up by a cop, or a parent spanks a child, Oh, we hear about it when an animal is “abused” but the lives of 400,000 black Africans is just not “news” I guess. — SICKENING!!
