Mark Twain was a prolific writer and we all know Tom Sawyer as kids, but little did I realize reading those stories that this man was indeed deep in spirit. being a wind junkie and crazy about sail boats this quote stuck with me.
Twenty
years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover” —- Mark Twain
As we go through the process of getting on with our lives, sometimes we can get bogged down and lose the “vision” we once had. This has become increasingly evident these past few weeks, and now another birthday is upcoming!! I guess it is high time to heed Mr Twain and cast off, so here we go…… there is now a game plan afloat to get to that goal of having a sailcraft. To ply the waters of the bays and finally get “outside” into the blue waters for a bit of an adventure.
Using the craft as a home is doubly inviting, and the test of whether my spirit can survive in smaller spaces has already been tested, and passed by all means. In fact the test has run for several years, both on land and on water.
So now to avidly work towards that goal……. here’s to setting sail!!
