As I have been out of the loop lately, I thought an entry for Halloween night would be fun. I had a medical issue in late May, resulting in three months of hospitals and a permanent move to an assisted living/rehab center. Therfore the lack of any content for a while. After several months I have recovered the majority of the body functions but face some more work to be fully 100%.
The spectacular “candyween” party was held here at my new” home”. It was billed as a resident activity but my impression was the staff enjoyed it far more than did the “general population”!!

Some of the management staff were costumed up for the day, and did set a bit of a ” party atmosphere”
This ” young lady” had her birthday today as well. She really went way out there in costume as did others.
Sorry for the fuzzy pics, I used a tablet and realized the camera isn’t that great. The lighting was very severe fluorescent and backlighted towards a sun filled window.
The residents were treated to chili dogs and cupcakes, a small bag of candy, and bowls of candies distributed to hand out to kids coming in the evening.
The costumed staffers were lined up and voted on, but I couldn’t tell which was the favorite. I voted for the birthday girl. (Who is a 4 time granny!!)
In all it was a great respite from the normal routine, and blood sugar levels will be elevated this evening for certain!!
